See ya, Steubenville. We had an exhibition planned in Steubenville for the last year, but given the high water and the decrepit condition of the former Marina, they had to cancel.
In fact, there isn’t even a place to land a boat safely. It makes me sad that this former river town has so little connection to the river.

It’s hard to believe you couldn’t see any part of Steubenville, Ohio. As you approached Market Street bridge based on your position in the water in the Follansbee photo, you could see old mill, the amphitheater, post office etc, and the courthouse was the largest building. Guessing you figured you had the right place and rode right past Steubenville. Better yet once you passed the justice center, you could have seen more of Steubenville. Lol you photographed abandoned buildings in Wellsburg, but nothing caught your eye? By the way, the Marina never left, it was blue, on the left…lol and MARINA in white paint.. and.easier to see.
I like your story but this one was a stretch.
Sadly, there was nowhere to safely land a boat in Steubenville.
