Unfortunately, Buehlers close recently. From my understanding it was with little to no warning to the employees. Terrible to see, honestly.
Oh no! I have little doubt Buehler’s was a victim of the gentrification that was hitting that neighborhood hard. When I interviewed the owner’s sister, she could point out “Over there, where that parking lot is, used to be a bunch of houses. And here used to be a bunch of small shops, where that restaurant chain just moved in.” No doubt, in a few years, it will look like a prosperous, thriving downtown, and the people who can afford to visit won’t know the history of the place which is quickly being erased from the landscape.
